I will provide a full handout of 60 questions and answers to all clients who book a minimum of 3 lessons or one of the intensive Pre Test courses,

Below are some sample questions and answers.



Q. How do you perform a visual Inspection on your tyres , specify four safety checks?

A. Visually inspect the tyre wall for cracks , slices, bulges and perforations or foreign objects eg stones or nails. Check that the Air Pressure is between 28 – 32 psi , visually the tyre would look deflated. Check that the thread depth is a minimum of 1.6mm , visually check against the bridge mark. Uneven wear on the outside or inside of the tyre wall would indicate that the tyres are out of alignment.



Q. How would you detect a faulty Indicator bulb?

A. The indicator would be flashing erratically



Q. List five examples as to when you must drive on DIPPED Headlights.

A. At the beginning and end of lighting up hours.As long as they are needed to see clearly.When stopped in traffic. When meeting other traffic.In built up areas where there is good street lighting.When following behind another vehicle.In dense fog, falling snow or heavy rain.



Q. Can you explain in your own words what is a CONTRA FLOW BUS LANE?

A. This is a BUS lane that is going AGAINST the flow of traffic, and is specifically for BUSES ONLY



Q. At a crossroads of equal importance , to whom must give way?

A. At a crossroads of EQUAL importance you must give way to traffic on your RIGHT and traffic already moving at the junction.You must proceed with caution while showing regard for other road users.



Q. What is the Legal parking distance from the kerb?

A. The legal parking distance from the kerb is 12-18”
